I had transfer on 28th Feb. My first IVF. Keeping fingers crossed. You really had great guts to go for test on day What precautions you took. Can you please share. We did the same thing mid Feb. Our first IVF and used fresh eggs.. Part of the 10 tips for higher chance of successful implantation by Princeton is using a 5d blastocyst and go for two.
We are BFP! Another test 2 days later showed a double in HCG levels :. Hoping both implant well and grow into healthy babies. Hi Ladies. I have found so much comfort in all your comments. Now the waiting. Much love and luck to you all x. I know what you mean. This 2ww is torture. Fingers crossed for us all. Hi everyone I literally just had my frozen 5dpt transfer this morning.
Had some brief mild cramping and when I was wiping after the bathroom, there was a little pink. Fingers and toes and legs crossed! This is my second frozen transfer. I had a successful pregnancy in late after my first frozen transfer. I really attribute acupuncture to my success in addition to my doctor. It is really helpful. For those of you about to do a transfer, find an acupuncturist who specializes in fertility treatment and request the procedure done both literally right before transferring to get max blood flow to your uterus and also immediately after your transfer.
Yes, have your acupuncturist on standby. Or if your support person drives you insane sometimes. Like my husband. The key is to do acupuncture before and after transferring. I also highly recommend doing frozen transfer in general. I know all of you are chomping at the bit to get preggers, but it is good to get all those bloody hormones out of your body before settling into the business of actually getting pregnant. I feel it increases your chances, waiting that extra month. PGS to test for chromosome abnormalities is very important in my mind.
So even if they managed to implant and grow, the child would have severe problems. I was also saved the heartache and physical pain that comes with miscarriage of those blastocysts that would never make it. I live in Canada and gender selection is not allowed but one of the benefits of doing PGS is that they can tell you gender immediately.
Only downside is the cost. PGD on the other hand is actually something quite different. You would only do PGD if you or your partner had some genetically inheritable diseases you wanted to avoid.
It takes at least a month to provide all the DNA samples and for them to create a customized test. You do that before or when you start your cycle. Then they sample your blasts and courier them to the Genesis genetics lab in Detroit for testing. Wow this was a much longer post than I intended.
Well, I hope this helps some of you out there. Sticky baby dust to us all! I had a fresh day 3 transfer on January 2, and did my test on January 16 and it came back positive but my nurse was concerned because the HCG level was very low The numbers have doubled every two days but I am on an emotional roller coaster. This is my 4th embryo Transfer I have been pregnant one other time by IVF it was a chemical pregnancy but it was not viable. The Radiologist had me in tears yesterday because she stated my HCG levels for 5 weeks should have been at least I went to see the doctor and he stated sometimes after a day 3 transfer the embryo hangs around a while before implanting and it is to early to tell.

Half way through the two week wait and feeling so scared but trying to stay positive. I did a fresh IVF in Oct and i right away knew i was pregnant. Good luck to everyone. Hope you get a BFP on Dec. Great site! Lots of good info. Transferred 2 day 5 blasts today and waiting for Jan 9th to test. Best wishes to all! I started my first IVF cycle short four weeks ago. Only my other ovary responded to the treatment and produced four eggs. I was devastated and almost cancelled the cycle the minimum amount of eggs my clinic even retrieves is three , however my doctor told me to have a little faith. All four fertilized and by third day all were labeled as grade A embryos.
I chose the 3 day transfer as I was afraid none of them would survive additional two days. My clinic also transfer only one egg at the first try the other thre were frozen. I had very little hope. The hormones suit me very badly so I have been sick the entire time and then I took a really bad fall four days after tge transfer. Hi, I just had my transfer done , so day 3.
Hoping the cramping is good? I transferred 2 embryos day 5 frozen. We did PGS testing had 8 normal and still 6 frozen. All grade B embryos. This 2 ww is already driving me nuts. When is the soonest I can, and does anyone know how many days it takes after transfer for the embryo s to implant?
Would love to hear from others! Hi everyone, My first ivf was a short cycle in and doctor managed to retrieve 1 embryo that was in grade A.
I was very happy a least 1 embryo survived out of 8 embryos. But after the implantation takes place after 2 weeks wait the result was so devastated that I had cried nearly a week because of the result is negative and I did not know why is it so.
This coming Monday I will start again with the ivf and this time will be long cycle that my doctor suggested. Right now I am feeling very anxious and excited to do my 2nd ivf.
I really prayed that everything goes well and I am able to carry my husband baby. Hi Hana! Good luck to you with your second round let us know how its going! My dr did a 3day xfer with assisted hatching of 2 good quality embies.
I am I also had a d and c 3 weeks ago to thin out my lining. Both failed attempts were 3 high grade 5 day blasts. So i am having issues with implanting. I hope the vitamins, and the D and C will resolve that. Feeling hopeful. But lol hard not to be nervous. Good luck to everyone!
After my embryo transfer 3 days I do have cramping and spotting and form what I felt I was pretty sure that the implantation are taking place. But after 2 weeks of wait the result turns out negative again, I am really sad and I really broke down why this is happening to me again. I had follow all the instruction from the doctor really relaxing not even doing any heavy chores. But it is still not happening asking myself why and what when wrong I have cried a lot for this failure.
Have any one did the womb scratching before? Is there really hope? I am really feeling worst then devastated now then before. I pray to God that please give me the blessing to become a mother. My husband just wanted a child and I pray this happens for us.
I would like to talk to someone who has been in a similar situation. I was in your shoes when I first started. Embryos were 5 days. I did not feel any cramps after the transfer. After the 2 week I found out the embryos did not implanted.
We then decided to do the second transfer also 5 days. I had cramping the day of the transfer and 2 days after that. After the 2 week wait I had a blood test done confirming I was pregnant. Hope my story brings you hope. I had a 5d embryo transfer 2 days ago, 2nd ivf trial after first one failed with 4 embryo. This time 3 eggs were retrieved and only 1 fertilised.

After the dreadful waiting, I went to have my blood test done today, came out negative. I am so sad and devastated today. My doctor told me it was a top grade embryo. Day 7 one. I had many failed trfs , even thought I had strong blastocyst embryos. Found out last month that I have the killer cell which attacks the embryo.

Have you ladies gotten your BFP with not much of the typical symptoms? I have cramping on and off, and boobs are tender but not sore. Did a fresh transfer on Aug 10 and I guess have not gotten the usual symptoms so my mind is playing tricks on me.
I have to bring back the positive thoughts would love some guidance on how you all got through the 2WW.
Pls advice me is it normal. My doctor ask me to come in a week time to run a progesterone test thanks. The ET process usually takes place five days after egg retrieval.
During that waiting period, the eggs are mixed with sperm so fertilization can take place. By day five, the embryo s are now considered a blastocyte, consistency of cells, and are ready for transfer. Your pregnancy test is approximately 9 long days after Transfer.
Your embryos were most likely frozen five, six, or in some cases, seven days after egg retrieval. In cases like this, the process can take weeks from the time you get your menses. Once cleared to start a cycle, you will take an oral medication called Estrace for approximately weeks.
This helps to thicken and optimize the lining of your uterus for implantation. You will then be instructed to begin intramuscular progesterone injections ouch! Your Transfer will take place 6 days after starting progesterone. The timing is critical to the success of your Transfer. Similar to a fresh embryo transfer, your pregnancy test will take place about 9 days after transfer. Finally, the day has arrived! Thawing your embryo takes very little time , just about an hour or so.
