The straight girls like girly things and they'd never wear a basketball headband like that. My friend dated a basketball girl in college and she said there was often massive tension in the locker room because they all dated each other and therefore always fighting and not speaking to each other. She got unbelievably sick of lesbian culture and their fighting because it was a detriment to their team.
The only major female sport that I can think of that has very very few lesbians is volleyball. I was friendly with many of them too and to my knowledge they didn't have a single one on the team. It's probably not a coincidence that Volleyball aslo produces the hottest female athletes also, they're basically all very feminine and like to look good.

I honestly would have switched those numbers and assumed that basketball was more lesbian-dominated. I didn't have gymnastics at my college so I wouldn't know, but it seems accurate they dont have many. Our Tennis team was small and didn't get much pub that's why I don't consider it a major college womens sport.
