You can hear them singing a weekly Sunday service during term time at services and concerts at Easter and Christmas, and on tours, recordings and broadcasts. The girls sing a weekly service alongside our lay clerks. They also practise twice a week and receive a scholarship for instrumental tuition.
Applications can be made at any time during the year. Formal Auditions can be scheduled at any point in the year but usually take place in March. You can hear them sing at selected services throughout the year. The Chamber Choir sing at services and concerts during and outside of term time, mostly in the Cathedral but also in the diocese and further afield. How to join The Conductor is always happy to chat with prospective members. He is looking for adults of all ages with a love of sacred music, and the ability to adapt to different styles of music. Sight-reading skills and the ability to learn music quickly are also essential. Entry is by audition — a prepared solo of your choice and sight-reading tests. The Nave Choir is made up of around 40 singers, all drawn from the Cathedral congregation and friends.

Formed in , this choir offers members of the congregation and friends the chance to take part in sung services It sings at one service every school term, with Wednesday evening rehearsals in the weeks before the service. Led by Keith Clark, formerly Director of the Hampshire County Youth Choir, the team provide enjoyable and challenging choral activities for members to develop singing and choral skills.
Open to children aged 7 to At present, there is no audition for entry into this choir. He has founded a number of children's and youth choirs, including the Hackney Children's Choir, and has a deep vocation to help the disadvantaged.
Tom is associated with the Choir Church Foundation, the Centre for Theology and Community, and is a prize-winning graduate in music from Lincoln College, Oxford, where he held an orgn scholarship.
His wide-ranging freelance career encompasses a variety of work as an organist, piano accompanist, choral director and teacher. Martin read Music at Oxford University, graduating with a first-class degree, before continuing his studies on the Masters programme at the Royal College of Music.
